HOW THE ATIPIQA IDEA WAS BORN

Hi! My name is Petra and I come from Slovakia, a small country in the heart of Europe and currently living in Switzerland. This is my third country living out of my home. 

I feel privileged as my work allowed me to travel often in past years. With my two little feet, I have visited nearly 50 countries so far and still can’t quite sit still! I consider myself to be atypical, always living for the moment and full of positive energy. I embrace the “unique” and I’m unconcerned about fitting in with everyone else. I’m the kind of person who might book a one way ticket to the other side of the world and leave within hours, without a plan!

On Christmas Eve 2019, I received a special gift from my parents, and that is all that was needed for my ATIPIQA idea to be born. I am not a big fan of gifts as I believe we have become too consumer oriented as a society. But if they touch your heart in the way my gift touched mine (tears came to my eyes) I think this is a gift worth giving and receiving.

And this is exactly the feeling I’d like ATIPIQA to give you. (But perhaps with fewer tears!).
